Wigmore Library to King’s Frith

The walk starts from Wigmore Library which is on the Arriva bus 113 route and is 2.9 miles long

This walk can be found on Ordnance Survey map 148.

T urn left outside the library and go through the car park into Levan Strice.

Come out of the woods into Thanet Road and turn right into Maidstone Road. Turn right into Georgian Way.

Follow the road round and turn left into Bredhurst Road.

Turn right into King’s Frith playing field. Walk round the perimeter of the field returning to Bredhurst Road.

Wigmore Library to Hickory Dell and Darland

The walk starts from Wigmore Library which is on the Arriva bus 113 route and is 3.0 miles long

This walk can be found on Ordnance Survey map 148.

T urn right outside the library and left into Fairview Avenue. Cross Hoath Road by the bridge and turn left at Spekes Road.

Just after the barrier turn right down one flight of steps (footpath GB4) and right into Hickory Dell.

Join Hempstead Valley Drive and continue across Hempstead Road into Pear Tree Lane.

Turn right into Glenwood Close and take the footpath down the steps into Grove Wood.

Wigmore Library to Foxburrow Wood

The walk starts from Wigmore Library which is on the Arriva bus 113 route and is 2.7 miles long

This walk can be found on Ordnance Survey map 148.

Turn right out of the library and left into Fairview Avenue. Crossing at the pedestrian lights turn right into Bredhurst Road.

Turn right into Drewery Drive then left into Edwards Close and continue along the path to Woodside.

Take the first section of footpath (GB17) and turn right into Asquith Road.
Cross Maidstone Road and turn left and then take footpath (GB3) on the right into Tanker Hill.

Cross Lonsdale Drive and take the footpath opposite into Chesham Drive at the bottom of the hill take the entrance to Foxburrow Wood.

Wigmore Library to Whitegates Wood

The walk starts from Wigmore Library which is on the Arriva bus 113 route and is 2.6 miles long

This walk can be found on Ordnance Survey map 148.

Turn right out of the library and left into Fairview Avenue turn left into Spekes Road and after a few meters take the footpath (GB4) on the right.

Go down the steps, across Hempstead Valley Drive and up the steps to Cedar Grove.

Turn left and just before reaching Hempstead Valley drive take the entrance to Whitegate Wood on the right. Continue through the wood coming out at a footbridge over Hempstead Valley Drive.

Wigmore to East Hoath Wood.

The walk starts from Wigmore Library which is on the Arriva bus 113 route and is 2.4 miles long

This walk can be found on Ordnance Survey map 148.

T urn right out of the library and left into Fairview Avenue. Crossing at the pedestrian lights turn right into Bredhurst Road. Turn right into Drewery Drive then left into Edwards Close and continue along the path to Woodside.

Cross Woodside and follow the full length of the public footpath (GB17) as far as Durham Road. Turn left and cross the road into East Hoath Wood. Follow the main path round the wood in an anticlockwise direction round three sides of the wood.

Wigmore Library to Lambsfrith Grove

The walk starts from Wigmore Library which is on the Arriva bus 113 route and is 2.6 miles long

This walk can be found on Ordnance Survey map 148.

T urn left out of the library, through the car park, and into Levan Strice Wood. Taking a meandering route through the wood leave on the unmade Thanet Road and turn right into Maidstone Road.

Cross Maidstone Road and take a footpath on the left into Hawbeck Road turn right and right again into Roper Close. At the end of the close take the pathway into Sedley Close and then into Lime Court as far as Maidstone Road, Turn left and cross the road at a safe place. At the roundabout cross Wigmore Road and pass under the Hoath Way bridge.
