Wigmore Library to Lambsfrith Grove
The walk starts from Wigmore Library which is on the Arriva bus 113 route and is 2.6 miles long
This walk can be found on Ordnance Survey map 148.
T urn left out of the library, through the car park, and into Levan Strice Wood. Taking a meandering route through the wood leave on the unmade Thanet Road and turn right into Maidstone Road.
Cross Maidstone Road and take a footpath on the left into Hawbeck Road turn right and right again into Roper Close. At the end of the close take the pathway into Sedley Close and then into Lime Court as far as Maidstone Road, Turn left and cross the road at a safe place. At the roundabout cross Wigmore Road and pass under the Hoath Way bridge.
Just before the motorway bridge take the public footpath (GB40) taking care going down the uneven steps. Go through the woods, between two fields and into Lambsfrith Grove. Cross Sharsted Way into Kingsdown Close and take the public footpath (GB28) on the right.
Continue along the footpath, when you arrive at Spekes road turn right into Fairview Avenue and continue till you arrive back at the library.
This walk can be done in the reverse direction.
NB This route may be muddy in wet weather.
