Bus Walk – Greensand Way Hunton to Sutton
The majority of this walk is on the Ordnance Survey Explorer Map 148 Maidstone and the Medway Towns. Catch the Countryliner number 26 bus from Maidstone and get off at Hunton Church. The walk which mainly follows the Greensand Way is just over 6 miles.

Continue up the road until you reach a footpath on your right. Walk through the field
And through an Orchard.
You will soon reach the Greensand way where you turn right.
Follow the Greensand Way past a track
And over a bridge over a sunken road
You will soon see the village of Linton
Go down the hill past the Almshouses which were built and endowed by Sir Anthony Mayne of Linton Place in 1610, for four poor estate workers’ families and widows of good character.

The path continues past the war memorial and through the churchyard
Continue past Linton Park
Continuing along the Greensand Way you will reach St Peter’s Church Boughton Monchelsea
From the back wall of the Church you can overlook the deer park
Getting back onto the Greensand Way
You soon come Buttercups Goat Sanctuary
Care must be taken going down some steep stairs
You walk past a former Schoolroom
And soon reach St Michael’s Church Chart Sutton
Opposite the Church is Court Farm
The path continues along the north side of the Church to Sutton Valence.
The bus stop is on the A274 in Sutton Valence. Take the Arriva bus 12 back to Maidstone.
