North Gillingham Church Walk
This walk starts from St Mark’s Church Gillingham
From St Mark’s walk up Canterbury Street and turn left into Green Street. On the right you will find Gillingham Baptist Church
Continue along Green Steet as you turn the corner you see Gillingham Salvation Army Citadel.
Go down the alley next to the Salvation Army and across the footbridge. Walk past the Medical centre and the car park and turning left into Gorst Street then right into Balmoral Road you will see Gillingham United Reformed Church.
From Gillingham URC continue up Balmoral Road turn left into Trafalgar Steet. At the traffic lights turn right into Nelson Road. A short distance up the road you will reach Gillingham Salem Church of the Nazarene.
Continue up Nelson Road to St Barnabas Church
Turn Left into Borough Road and at the end turn right into Napier Road where you will find Beulah Christian Fellowship.
Continuing up Napier Roadit merges it Nelson Road which in turn merges into Canterbury Street. Turn right into St Johns Road as you reach the A2 St Augustine’s Church is on the corner.
Retrace your footsteps along Milton Road and St John’s Road. Cross Canterbury Street into Gillingham Park. At the far right coner of the park turn right into Oxford Street. Cross Barnsole Road and continue into Third Avenue. On the left you will see the Third Avenue Church and Community Centre.
Retrace your steps back down Third Avenue and turn right into Barnsole Road. Taking care crossing Sturdee Avenue continue to Livingstone Circus, turn right into Gillingham Road. The road changes it’s name into ingram Road. Just across the level crossing is Our Lady of Gillingham Church on the left in Railway Street.
Continue along Ingram road. The road changes it’s name again and becomes Church Street. Turn right into Gillingham Green. At the end is St Mary Magdalene Church.
Retrace your footsteps back along Gillingham Green and turn right into Church Street. At the bottom of the hill turn left at the roundabout on the right you will see the Premier Inn, this is one of the venues of The Reach Gillingham.
Continue on veer to the left and go under leftmost railway arch into Medway Road. Turn left at Stanley Road and on right you will see St Luke Church.
Continue along Stanley Road turn left into Milburn Road just before you turn right you will see the Sunlight Centre the home of The Bridge Baptist Church.
Go up the hill and turn right at Saunders Street, turn left into Skinner Street and not far up the road you will find King’s Church Gillingham.
Just before you get back to St Marks turn right into the High Street then left into Marlborough Steet to reach the Life Connection Centre.
